Winchester, VA - George F. Hupp Uncut Sheet of Six. 6 1/4¢ to $1 Nov. 1, 1839. PCGS Very Fine 30 Apparent. Five different denominations of notes from this issuer are found on this uncut sheet. Only the 12 1/2¢ denomination is duplicated. Minor stains, internal splits, teares, and tape repairs are cited as the reasons for the Apparent grade. A desirable piece despite the problems listed.

Keller assigned reference number NY-SI050 to this denomination of Bostwick notes. D.C. Wismer wrote an article about the Bostwick notes that appeared in the January, 1929 issue of The Numismatist. The Rightmyre remainders are listed in the Keller reference as NY-PE. Attractive embossing is observed through the holder. Lot of 2 notes.

  Tallahassee Rail Road Company Reprints of Three Denominations and Three Souvenir Cards. The $1, $2 and $3 denominations are represented by the Tallahassee Rail Road Company reprints. The souvenir cards include an SPMC piece issued at the Memphis Convention in 1982. The note featured on that piece is a City of Baton Rouge $1 dated March 15, 1866. The actual notes are quite scarce and include the famous "Red Stick" vignette, making this card a lovely collecting alternative. Also included in the lot are an International Paper Money Show card, also from the 1982 convention, featuring the back of a $100 National Bank Note from the Second Charter period. The face of a $5000 note from the Canal Bank in New Orleans is illustrated on an ANA souvenir card from their 90th Anniversary Convention, held in the Crescent City in 1981. Lot of 6 notes.
