Lot 953
1936 Oregon Trail Half Dollar. NGC graded MS-66 CAC Approved. Beautiful silky white luster on this well struck coin. Only 10,000 minted. As a stand-alone date this would be considered as scarce as the more expensive 1928 Hawaii, 1935 Hudson, and 1935 Spanish Trail, with identical mintage. However, since the Oregon Trails were struck over several years from 1926 to 1939, the total available supply depresses the price below these others (PCGS # 9345) .
Estimated Value $300 - 325.
