ASTP, 1975, Tom Stafford and Vance Brand Manuscripts. An interesting 1996 manuscript from Tom Stafford on Stafford, Burke and Hecker, Inc. letterhead stationery to Vance Brand reads, in part: "Enclosed are some ASTP patches that Bobbie sent me and asked that I sign and then send on to you to sign and return to her." (signed) "Tom". An attached 3x5" card, stapled to the Letter from Stafford reads: "Bobbie - The signed cloth emblems are enclosed. Wishing you the best" (signed) "Vance". The original manila envelope, with Vance Brand hand stamped return address is included. Interesting.

ASTP, 1975, Two Different Russian Language Book. Signed and dedicated to Deke Slayton by his Russian fellow crew members and "partners in crime", Leonov and Kubasov included is a (5x6.5 "paperback (1975, 575pp., soft) with lengthy inscription by Leonov and Kubasov as well as card cover book (1976, 276pp., card) that is well illustrated and tells the story of the flight from the Russian point of view, likewise with a lengthy inscription and boldly signed. Both are in relatively excellent condition and are important additions to any library.

ASTP, 1975. Cyrillic Language Bible. This pocket-size Bible was printed in Sweden in 1967. Deke undoubtedly acquired it when he was going to Russia while training for the ASTP flight. Some faults, but an unusual ASTP collateral piece of memorabilia.

ASTP, c1960s, Deke Slayton's Vintage Apollo Speedmaster Professional Wristwatch. This black-faced, stainless steel chronograph, manual wind wristwatch has a Plexiglas crystal, solid case back with anti-vibration and anti-magnetic dust cove, black tachymeter bezel and sub-dials, without date or day complications and is powered by a caliber 861-based movement. There appear to be tritium powered phosphorescent lumen on the hands and index markers of the watch.

This is a space-qualified watch as indicated by the case back which reads: "Flight Qualified by NASA For Manned Space Missions / The First Watch Worn on the Moon". A two-tone stainless steel replacement wrist band is mounted on the watch. Prior to this sale the watch has been professionally cleaned and put into fully functioning order. While the consignor's flown Omega watch is presently recorded as being in the Smithsonian collection, this watch was found among his effects after his passing. A great addition to any collection. Some wear should not detract.

Miscellaneous, 1994, "Moon Shot" by Alan Shepard and Deke Slayton. An interesting lot that includes FIVE mint copies (1994, First Edition, Second Printing, 383pp., hard with dust jacket) and each with added bookplates signed by Alan Shepard, Jay Barbree, Howard Benedict and Bobbie Slayton, FIVE similar copies (Third Edition, 383pp., hard with dust jackets) but with the bookplate signed just by Alan Shapard and FIVE copies (First Edition, 383pp., card) with bookplates signed by Alan Shepard, Jay Barbree, Howard Benedict and Bobbie Slayton. Some are shrink-wrapped. A great lot for the bibliophile. Excellent overall condition.
