The colors are fresh and bright, and the moderate amount of handling from circulation is not overly distracting. A note from this issue in similar grade realized $2,530 in a Ponterio sale in January, 2009, and we would not be surprised if this note far surpassed our perhaps conservative estimate. Farouk was a noted coin and currency collector, and amassed an incredible collection likely at the expense of the Egyptian people.
