  ASTP, 1975, Crew-Signed Presentation Plaque (framed to 22x18") Dated in ink "October 17, 1975, the plaque has a full color crew photograph in the center and is boldly signed by the American crew (Stafford, Brand and Slayton) plus the Russian crew (Leonov and Kubasov) below. The inscription at the top of he photo, in black calligraphy, reads: "To the Staff and Management of the Caprice (a restaurant ?) - from the Apollo-Soyuz Crews". Excellent condition with only light toning around the edge of the photo (as usually seen).

Included are 1) a 1989 "Texas Franchise Tax Extension Request", 2) a 1979 NASA Ames Field "Aviation Safety Reporting System" form where he reported: "Violated Altitude Restrictions in Climbout", 3) a 1975 Dept. of Transportation form that says: "Holder shall wear correcting glasses while excercising the priveleges of his airman certificate", 4) two similar Woodward & Lothrop department store receipts - one for "Men's Active" and one for "Adult Books", 5) a Mountain View, CA "County Inn" undated room receipt and 6) a 1974 typed letter on NASA letterhead in which he acknowledges the 13 books he has on personal loan from NASA's Technical Library. Included with the basic unit is a "condom commection" and a metal fitting with a note that reads: "Use this for draining and flushing". A great, and invaluable, addition to any ASTP (or other) collection. Included is its original manila mailing envelope (no markings).

  ASTP, 1975, Deke Slayton's Personal Copy of the International Aeronautical Federation "File on Absolute World and World, This 53pp, red leather bound book bilingual book is extensively signed by both the American and Russian crews and by NASA, Russian and FAI observers and space officials. Among other things, the book lays claim to setting a number of world records during the flight. The FAI is the international body that keeps track of these records for both Space and Aviation and has done so since the days of Orville and Wilbur Wright. The fact that this volume was the consignor's personal copy makes it even more meaningful and important.

ASTP, 1975, "DP Boost" Checklist (2.25x4") This checklist is dated just 2 months before the launch of ASTP. It was probably used in training. There is a printed date "5/13/75" on both front and back and a light pencil inventory control number "05-90-50.1" on the reverse at the bottom.
A copy of a Bobbie Slayton 2005 COA for a FLOWN checklist is included. Although the COA states that there are pencil notations on the checklist (this one doesn't have any), it does say that the checklist was on display at the Astronaut Hall of Fame in Titusville, FL and the Air and Space Museum in Huntsville, AL. The pencil inventory number on the reverse may mean that this checklist was displayed also. An important piece of memorabilia, whether flown or not.

ASTP, 1975, Deke Slayton's "Headgear", Lot of two different "hats" including a light blue baseball cap with a large gold "DEKE" on the cloth/mesh top and silver "Scrambled Eggs" on the brim. Extensively faded and well worn with extensive faults and sweatstains (there is a multicolor "J. Miller, Minneapolis, Minn" label inside the cap). ALSO a soft brown-leather flying cap (sweat stains and a couple of lining "holes" inside) with a "Leonhard / 4005 Meerbusch" label inside. We can't say when or where Deke wore these hats, but, based on the sweat and wear, he wore them long and hard. A great pair.

ASTP, 1975, Russian Bilingual "Mission Control" Mission Patches, Lot of four different "Manufacturer Sample" mission patches (4") as sent to ASTP Flight Director Donald Puddy by H/P Enterprises of Lompoc, CA as examples of their work. There are four different designs of the same patch included in these samples; one of which has an original piece of tape on the reverse that reads, "Return to Donald Puddy". We can't document if these were issued designs or not, but they may have been issued by H/P Enterprises of Lompoc, CA. as other patches in the same envelope have their labels attached. A great opportunity for the ASTP or patch collector to acquire patches from the original source.

ASTP, 1975, ASTP/ Final / CSM Rendezvous Book / 3rd Opportunity" Checklist (8.5x11") This 3-ring, 80pp, checklist is dated June 23, 1975, less than one month prior to launch. Although three attempts were not needed to dock succesfully, this checklist is a testament to NASA determination to make joint flight a success. An important piece of history.

ASTP, 1975, Deke Slayton's Misc. Jewelry, Medallions and Other Memorabilia, The following "treasures" were saved from one of Deke's desk drawers. Included are 1) two similar Fisher Space Pens in one blue plush holder. One pen is engraved: "Apollo Soyuz / 1975-1985" and the other is engraved: "First Shuttle Flight of Columbia - 1981", 2) a Douglas "Space Systems Center" Dedication medallion embedded in a clear lucite cylinder (3x1"), 3) a 1975 ASTP Russian 2.3" medallion showing wear, 4) two similar copper-colored Apollo 11 medallions in seperate plastic cases, 5) a "Robbins Co / Attleboro", Vice-President of the United States key chain, 6) a boxed set of Russian "Vostok" cuff links and tie bar by "Aviaexport" and 7) an "Apollo Capsule" boxed set of cuff links and tie pin. An eclectic lot in generally good condition.

ASTP, 1975, "Office of the Director" Manuscript Letter, This manuscript, one page letter on NASA letterhead to Deke reads, in part: "Thank you very much for the very beautiful silver medallion from your flight…Of all the responsibilities I have had, the one of choosing Deke Slayton to be a member ofthe Apollo-Soyuz crew will stand out….Spaceflight has been built on the contributions that people like you have made…" The letter is signed "Chris" (Kraft). A historic and heartfelt document. The original NASA envelope, hand addressed"Deke Slayton / Personal" is included.

ASTP, 1975. Cyrillic Language Bible, This pocket sized bible was printed in Sweden in 1967. Deke undoubtedly acquired it when he was going to Russia while training for the ASTP flight. Some faults, but an unusual ASTP collateral piece of memorabilia.
