[Kennedy Robert F.] Prison Complaint Against Sirhan Sirhan. Inmate/Parolee Appeal dated 12-26-98, one page, 11 x 8½ in., CSP [California State Prison] Corcoran, PHU [Protective Housing Unit]. A formal complaint by inmate Kenny Calihan filed against Sirhan Sirhan, who was convicted of killing Senator Robert F. Kennedy on June 5, 1968 at L.A.'s Ambassador Hotel just after Kennedy had declared victory in the California Democratic presidential primary. The complaint states that Sirhan Sirhan "repeatly walks around the unit naked" and when asked not to, just smiles and grins. The inmate requests that Sirhan Sirhan take a shower in his cell "and not on the tier where other inmates have to look or see this behavior." The appeal was granted. In 2009 Sirhan Sirhan, who is serving a life sentence with the possibility of parole, was transferred to Pleasant Valley State Prison in Coalinga, California.

Lincoln, Robert Todd (1843-1926) Son of President Abraham Lincoln and Mary Todd Lincoln; secretary of war, and minister to the Court of St. James. Typed Letter Signed ("Robert T. Lincoln"), one page, 8¼ x 6¼ inches, on "Hildene Manchester Vermont" letterhead, Oct. 20, 1916. To the manager of the Neale Publishing Company, advising him that he has received but not yet read General Wilson's "Life of Rawlins" and that once he has read it, "I shall make my acknowledgment to General Wilson." Fine. Matted with a printed image of Robert Lincoln and a small engraving of President Lincoln and framed to an overall size of 18¼ x 18¼ inches.

Webster, Daniel (1782-1852) American statesman and famous orator. Autograph Note Signed ("D. Webster"), 4¼ x 6½ in., n.p., Aug. 1, 1851. "My Dear Sir; Pray send me up a Demijohn of good cider vinegar." Cider was a popular potable in 1851. Webster had a reputation as a tippler and is said to have had a secret passage from the bar to his Massachusetts hotel room. Light toning. Very good. With a reproduction of an imposing portrait taken four months before Webster wrote this note.

McCormack," 1962; and "John W. Nicklebee," 1968; "Carl Albert," former speaker of the House, on print card illustration of the Capitol Building; and "George P. Schultz" and "William E. [Secretaries of State] Philander C. Knox & Robert Lansing. Typed Letter Signed ("P Knox") as Secretary of State, 3 pp, 12½ x 8 in., Washington, July 20, 1911. Regarding amending U.S. quarantine regulations of immigrants, in response to cholera cases arriving from Italy. Toning and edge chips; Very Good. Four Typed Letters Signed "Robert Lansing" as Secretary of State, total of 12 pages, dated from Dec. 13, 1917 to Nov. 5, 1918. Good content, including regarding the Stabilization of Exchange between Peru and the U.S.; restrictions on importing copper from Peru to the U.S. and what forms it could take; how the War Trade Board could permit the import of Peruvian rubber, purchases of boiler tubes, powder and cartridges that the Peruvian Navy wished to make; and admitting a Peruvian as a summer visitor to West Point. Toned but Fine overall.
