Amen, Irving. Homage to Telemann. Woodcut, signed "Amen '55" in pencil at lower right. At lower left in pencil is "Homage to Telemann 10/6." 31 x 20 in. Matted and framed to 36½ x 28 in. Image of a musician playing one musical instrument while another lies at his feet. Irving Amen (1918 -) is an American printmaker. Telemann (1681-1767) was a German Baroque composer.

Audubon, John Woodhouse. Neotoma Drummondii, Rich. Rocky Mountain Neotoma. No. 6, Plate XXIX.From the The Viviparous Quadrupeds of North America, marked "Lith. Printed & Col'd. by J.T. Bowen, Phila, 1843". 19" x 25" (visible), matted and nicely framed to 25.5" x 31.5". The pair of neotomas shown in actual size. A small blue "E.D.S. Library/Peabody" stamp is unobtrusively located at the lower edge of the print. Minor areas of toning (possible damp staining) are seen at the borders, not affecting the image.

With the help of his son, John Woodhouse Audubon, John James Audubon began to document and paint the mammals of North America in 1839. When John James' health declined in 1846, John Woodhouse took over the project. Rev. John Bachman researched and described each species and J.T. Bowen produced the lithographs, which were then hand-painted. Several mid-19th century editions were published.

Crosio, Luigi. Dancing Arabic Women. Black and white etching signed "L. Crosio" in the plate at lower left, 13¾ x 20½ in. Matted and framed to 24 x 30 in. A young man plays a musical instrument whille a young woman dances on a roof-top terrace. Three other women play instruments or watch. Minor scratches to sky; otherwise, fine. A charming picture. Crosio was an Italian artist (1835-1916) who specialized in genre pictures. He painted many romantic 18th century portraits and scenes.

Edition of 90 (this is 69/90), plus 8 Artist Proofs on Arches Paper, 23 x 31 1/8 in. Double framed to show the figures in relief on the verso. Overall size is 30½ x 38½ in.

For the first time in the history of printmaking, Dali creates a pseudoscopic composition by portraying the classical female form. This is a magnificent work of art, displaying Dali's genius in a new dimension.

*Pseudoscipic: Effect obtained by using light in order to give the sensation of seeing the images in relief.

Matted and housed in a period frame; overall size is 37¾ x 28 in. Lower margin of matte has some dampstaining. Not examined out of frame. Authentic Icart etchings were hand-pulled from the artist's metal etching plates, hand signed in pencil and heightened with watercolor. This image is from a deluxe edition with a rare lacquer finish. It is also on the cover of the most recent book of Louis Icart.

Moti was born in Bombay in 1921 and has studied and worked in India, London and Paris. His work has been shown all over the world, including the Biennale in Venice, the Bibliothèque Nationale in Paris, the New York Public Library and the New Delhi Museum of Art. Museums in which his work can be found include the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, the French National Museum of Modern Art, and the Bibliothèque Nationale in Paris.
