1826 SC$1 HK-1 Rarity 6. Erie Canal Completion. White Metal 45mm. Holed. Our grade is Sharpness of AU with some corrosion. Housed in a wooden container made by Duncan Phyfe from the original wood of the Seneca Chief as issued. The obverse depiction of Pan and Neptune is quite attractive. The Erie Canal was considered the "greatest engineering feat of modern times…costliest, most successful project yet undertaken in the New World".
