Lot 698
1793/2 Washington Ship Halfpenny with Lettered Edge Breen-1225. PCGS graded VF-35. Choice glossy chocolate brown. Great eye appeal for the grade, just a few light nicks from choice. A small vertical nick on the forehead at the hairline is a good identifying mark. MDS with the usual swelling on the reverse. Remnants of the 3 over 2 overdate feature are still visible at the bottom of the 3 in spite of minor dirt caked around that numeral. The lettered edge is noted on the PCGS label.
