1894 Morgan Dollar. PCGS graded MS-61. Scarce low mintage date. Frosty and untoned with some scattered marks on the cheek and eyebrow; together with an ultra sharp eagle whose silvery presence seems to be a point or two choicer than the obverse, the coin should please just about every entry-level collector of low-mintage Morgan dollar issues (PCGS # 7228) .
Estimated Value $2,900 - 3,000.

Lot 3718
1895 Morgan Dollar. PCGS graded Proof 63. A popular key date Morgan Dollar. Only 880 struck, all in Proof. Even grey toning on both sides. This light-patina example displays uniform reflectivity as the surfaces rotate under the light. The strike is traditionally sharp on these, and that is what occurs here including the hair curls over Liberty's ear all of which are distinct. The eagle shows outstanding detail also: wings, neck feathers and legs, and most importantly, full breast feathers. Warm champagne-accents in the undertones shine through the otherwise neutral "old silver" patina scheme, features that explain why grade-limiting hairlines are not readily evident at most angles. Originally, it was thought that the Philadelphia Mint delivered 12,000 business strike silver dollars in 1895. Yet no coins have ever been positively identified as being other than Proofs or impaired Proofs. It may be that all 12,000 coins were melted. Alternately, the entry in the Mint's coinage book represented a surplus of 1894-dated coins that were not delivered until June 1895. What we do know for certain is that Morgan dollar specialists will want to acquire a Choice Proof such as the present Proof 63 survivor if they ever desire to own a complete representative set of these dramatic large silver coins. Pop 66 (PCGS # 7330) .
Estimated Value $35,000 - 40,000.

1899 Morgan Dollar. NGC graded Proof 66. CAC Approved. Lovely golden toning on both sides. Only 846 Proofs minted. To expand upon this brief outline, a beautiful coin radiating mint glow on impeccable surfaces with nothing to censor it from its bold Proof 66 grade. Soft-edged devices throughout the centers are sometimes found on Proof Morgan Dollars of the period; however, a certain percentage of this year's production is found with such convincing detail to be called "bold" and this is one such coin! Pop 24; 16 finer (PCGS # 7334) .
Estimated Value $5,500 - 6,000.

1899-S Morgan Dollar. NGC graded MS-65. A fully white gem. Collectors who prefer lustrous examples will see that this '99-S has dazzling cartwheel brilliance. A great deal of stress is laid on the strike detail of the desirable late 19th century S-mints, and this piece is well struck on all devices. Pop 150; 26 finer in 66 (PCGS # 7262) .

Lot 3725
1902-S Morgan Dollar. NGC graded MS-64. A hint of light tone over silvery luster, the fields and devices are free of the often-seen roller lines that seem to plague this S-mint issue, therefore is it any coincidence it has earned NGC's respected MS64 grade? The coin carries itself with unconventianal beauty and detail dominance on all devices except for the central hair waves, a few of which are fused over the ear (PCGS # 7282) .
Estimated Value $700 - 750.

1904 Morgan Dollar. PCGS graded Proof 65. CAC Approved. Lovely gold toning. Only 650 Proofs struck. An impressive Gem Proof with more or less brilliant luster in the centers enlivened by the toning highlights which are deepest in color near the rims. Representative strike for the date, meaning razor-sharp at the head and cap area of the obverse with corresponding keen-edged detail on the eagle, its chest feathers, neck feathers, wings, olive branch and arrows. Extremely inviting where objective quality is key to the buyer's selection. Pop 28; 18 finer, 14 in 66, 4 in 67 (PCGS # 7339) .

Lot 3728
1904 Morgan Dollar. NGC graded Proof 65. Nicely toned. Only 650 pieces struck. An extremely fresh-appearing Morgan Silver Dollar, a coin with natural steel, blue, and dusky lavender color spread over the mirror-deep surface luster. It seems also the coin received a full wallop from the Proof dies inasmuch as it is amazingly sharp on every device. Attractive toning like this suggests that the present specimen spent most of its time in an old style Wayte Raymond album or similar early protective containment. Pop 41; 58 finer (PCGS # 7339) .
Estimated Value $4,000 - 4,250.

Lot 3729
1921 Morgan Dollar. NGC graded MS-65 Deep Prooflike. Tied for the finest Deep Prooflike 1921 Morgan at NGC. Among the dates usually encountered with luster-frost, this is the definitive Deep Prooflike 1921 for the specialist Morgan Dollar collector in the series. A scintillating example, the coin breaks that trend and displays uncommon sharpness on all points of the design. Even the normal softness on the eagle is absent. Both sides are graced with vibrancy uncommon to this issue. Puts on a grand display with its reflective field supporting satin-frosted devices! Pop 8; none finer at NGC (PCGS # 7296) .

1921 Peace Dollar. NGC graded MS-65. Nice original toning. The surfaces are highly lustrous and each side has a light coating of golden-gray patina that swirls and alternates between lighter and darker hues. A dampened impression is often founded from the weak rebound of the dies that made the 1921 Peace Dollar initial year's coinage; however, rather than being halfhearted, this particular Gem's design is boldly crisp. Pop 979; 115 finer.
