Lot 2714		Saint Thomas, VI. Bank of St. Thomas. 18__ $500-100-100 Uncut Sheet. PCGS Currency Apparent Choice About New 55. This rare sheet is unlisted in Krause's SCWPM reference, and is the first that we have seen. It was printed by the New England Bank Note Co. in Boston, which merged with Rawdon, Wright, Hatch & Edson in 1847. Rawdon, Wright, Hatch & Edson in turn associated with six other companies in 1858 to form the American Bank Note Company. We also note in Krause's 11th Edition of World Paper Money reprints were inserted in a reference volume on Danish money by J. Wilcke. We assume this sheet is one of them. A couple of small edge tears are mentioned by PCGS Currency and resulted in the Apparent grade, and some very minor foxing is mentioned solely for the sake of accuracy. Estimated Value $700 - 800.
