Lot 1929
1923 Peace Dollar. NGC graded MS-67. Frosty white coin. Desirable satin luster flows across untoned silver surfaces on this superb Peace Dollar. A rounded impression was sometimes left by the stamp of the dies that struck this year, but the present coin is mainly sharp in the important areas with perhaps a little rounding on a few hair waves and along the lower obverse rim. Pop 75; none finer at NGC.
Estimated Value $2,500 - 2,800.

What's more, clear-cut devices point to it having been given a forthright strike by the dies as well. Pop 54; 1 finer in 68.

Lot 1934
1928 Peace Dollar. PCGS graded MS-65. Mostly white with a hint of light gold tone on the obverse. A nice example and of particular importance to Silver Dollar collectors inasmuch as the 1928 has the lowest mintage in the 24-coin set at 360,649 pieces. It may seem surprising that a Philadelphia Mint coin would have such a low total, but there it is. A gorgeous representative of the issue with full satiny luster of gem quality and nary a distracting blemish to report on cheek or in the field on the obverse. Best of all, the reverse copies the obverse in having the same identical smooth, creamy luster free of offending bagmarks. A sharp strike rounds out this coin's list of positive features (PCGS # 7373) .
Estimated Value $1,800 - 1,900.
