Soviet Program, c1963, Gagarin, Tereshkova, Komarov, Yegerov, Feoktistov and Korolev Autographs. Signed in various color inks on a black and white reprint photo (9.5x7") of them sitting in a meeting. This photo was extensively reproduced from the original plate as seen in the numerous plate scrapes and irregular printing edges. It was a popular publicity photo in its day and the autographs are bold and clear.

Russian Program, 1964, Korolev Handwritten Note (8.5x11.75") in his usual bold style across a typed telephonegram to him. His handwrittten note on the telephonegram reads, in part: "18 October, 1964, To the personal attention of Comrade Tsybin - I think that you somewhat underestimate the situation. I am worried about mistakes in the basic data, its non-meeting as it came out. It will give us nothing but harm. It happens because you have some "specifics" [preconceived notions ?) in these matters." A nice example of a Korolev working document. A copy of the English translation of the Korolev's note in Russian is included.

Russian Program, 1966, Handmade Military Wall Leaflet" (17.5x25") This handmade wall poster ("The Star of Bykonaur / April 12, 1966") has two typed newspaper pages attached to a handpainted cardboard that was designed to be hung as a billboard. The piece was created by the cosmonaut wives in honor of the "1966 Day of Cosmonauts" and is signed by 14 different cosmonauts including Gagarin, Tituv, Nikolayev, Popovich, Bykovsky, Tereshkova, Yegerov, Shatalov, Belayev, Leonov, Glazkov, Feoktistov, Zukor and Zholobov. The bottom red caption reads: "Long Live the Soviet Nation - The Conquerer of Space." Some faults, but an attractive piece of space memorabilia.

The piece was issued by the cosmonaut wives in honor of the "1966 Day of of the Soviet Army" (as they did for different local events or national holidays) and is signed by 16 different cosmonauts including Gagarin, Tituv, Nikolayev, Popovich, Bykovsky, Tereshkova, Belayev, Leonov, Gubarev, Feoktistov, Yegorov, Volynov, Shonin, Khrunov, Gorbatko and Artyukhin. The bottom red caption reads: "Congratulations with the Holiday, Dear Comrades." Some faults, but an attractive piece of space memorabilia.

Russian Program, 1988///2005, Balance of Collection. An interesting lot including 1) a Soyuz TM-6/MIR FLOWN Presentation medallion with cloissonné sides and a color photo showing cosmonaut Valeri Polyakov holding the medallion (1988); 2) a dark green flight suit used in training for an International Space Station flight by A. Poleshchuk with his nametag (1994); and 3) a lot of three different FLOWN embroidered crew/mission patches with signed COAs from cosmonaut S. Krikalev (2005). An attractive lot that will add enjoyment to any collection.

Soviet Program, 1960, Gagarin and Titov Autographs. On the front page of the 1960 newspaper (Komsomolskaya Pravda" announcing the safe return of Space Dogs BELKA and STRELKA. Gagarin has inscribed the top of the paper: "(I) wish big successes to the Printing House and readers of Komsomolskaya Pravda. Gagarin." Even the newspaper has got to be a rare collector item today as few would have been saved at the time. Some edge faults, but in excellent overall condition.

Russian Program, c1960, Presentation Gift. 12.5x12.5x10") This unusual piece is engraved: "To Semen Borisovich Puzrin on his 60th Birthday from (Employees) of TseBeM (F)." This was the "Central Construction Bureau of Machine-Buildup" which worked on many top secret jobs for the Army and for Space. The top of the Globe in the center of the piece (broken/reparable) lifts off and displays a holder system for small bottles. A spacecraft circles the globe and both a viewed against a thick, starry, background. This may have been a type of mini-bar. In any case, this piece is probably unique and is definitely highly imaginative. A great classic piece for any collection.

Misc, c1970, Presentation Scale Model (9x3") An aluminum space vehicle model mounted on a metal arm above a pentagonal base.(14x11.5"). There are no markings on the base as to the history of this piece, but there are shadings on the base where you can see the descriptive placques have been lost over the years. The remaining model, itself, is well worth the cost of admission as it is an attractive piece of memorabilia in its own right. Probably unique today.

Misc, c1960, Rocket Lamp (7x15") An unusual metal table lamp with a rocket model mounted on a round base designed so that when plugged in, the light in the base of the rocket makes the lamp look as if the rocket were launching. A decorative border on the base depicts cosmonauts floating in space. Excellent overall condition and considered one of the rarest of space lamps.

On a large (19x11.5") Presentation Album page ("Spaceship Vostok") with black and whiter photos of Gagarin and of Tsiolkovsky and with a Tsiolkovsky quote. Gagarin has notated the page: "The words of Tsiolkovsky about conquering space will always call us forward. Gagarin." Judging from the red printed heading, this may have been the front page of the OKG Presentation album that the next lot was taken from also. Attractive and unique. Minor edge faults should not detract.

Vostok 1, 1961, Gagarin Autograph & Handwritten Inscription. On a large (19x11.5") Presentation Album page ("Spaceship Vostok") with four black and white photos of the Vostok spacecraft. Gagarin has notated the page: "(I am) heartily thankful to the employees of the "OKB" (= "Separate Construction Bureau," now known as the company "Energia" that constructed the spacecraft) for the "Vostok," built by you. Gagarin." Gagarin is essentially thanking the engineers for doing a good job in building his spacecraft. A fascinating piece. Attractive and unique. Minor edge faults should not detract.

Vostok 2, 1961, Gagarin and Titov Autographs. On the inside of a three-part multicolor publcity folder "25 Hours of Flight" issued in honor of Gherman Titov and Vostok 2. There are 18 black and white photos of his flight folded accordian style in the center of the folder. The folder is scarce in its own right (only 45,000 pieces were originally issued) and especially so autographed by the first two Soviets to fly in space. Excellent overall condition.

On the title page of a book "In Space - Nikolayev & Popovich" (1963, 495pp., hard with dust jacket, faults) issued in honor of Vostok-3 and Vostok-4; the first spacecrafts to rendezvous in space. There is a partial fingerprint at the bottom of the title page that is supposed to be from Titov. An interesting, well illustrated book we have not seen before.

Gagarin has inscribed it: "To Karpov, Evgeniy Anatolyevish with attention and hot thanks", Popovich has inscribed: "With respect and thanks" and Tereshkova has written: "Hearty Thanks for (your) huge work." Voshkod 2, 1965, Gagarin, Titv & Leonov Autographs. On an April 9, 1965 typed Schedule of Events that the three cosmonauts had to attend. Included are an appearance at the "Zenit" movie theater for Belayev and Leonov, an appearance by Gagarin at top the Marx and Engels Museum and a radio interview for all three. The Gagarin and Titov autographs appear to be genuine. The Leonov autograph may have been signed by his wife. A waterstain at the bottom of the page is well clear of the autographs and schedule text. A horizontal fold and some wrinkles at top should not detract. An attractive piece of memorabilia.

Soyuz 30, 1978, Polish STAMP ERROR. Issued in honor of the 1st Polish cosmonaut on a Russian space flight, Hermaszewski. Included in this lot is a full sheet 6 stamps + 2 labels of the normal stamp as well as a full sheet of a similar stamp ISSUED IN ERROR for Zenon Jankowski, who was, in effect, the back-up cosmonaut for Miroslaw Hermaszewski on Soyuz 30. The Jankowski stamp was never officially released and is quite rare today.
