It's incredible that errors like this make it out of the BEP, but alas mistakes happen--and that's why there are collectors around to snatch up these mistakes when they are available. Lot 1710		1988-A, $1 Federal Reserve Note. Printed Tear. PCGS Gem New 66PPQ. . Fr-1915-G. This is a spectacular error note that is as dramatic as they get. An inch and a half vertical tear in the bottom of the note occured after the back and face printings and caused the note to "accordion" upwards, with the resulting printed tear causing the overprint to be printed out of place.
