Skylab "Era" Mustard Flight Suit (no size label) with a "Kings Point" label in the neck. This unusual flight suit has a NASA "Meatball" patch, "Operation Deep Freeze" patch, a "Zero G Fects" patch, a "Gulf Coast Houston, Texas Rangers B-17 Crew" triangular patch AND a "Alibi / Test Pilot School" name tag. An important piece of memorabilia suitable to wear on almost all occasions.

A color photo of the Skylab in Space (7x7") mounted on a presentation board (11x14") with autopen autographs of all of the Skylab crew astronauts (Conrad, Kerwin, Weitz, Bean, Garriott, Lousma, Carr, Gibson and Pogue) at the top. Minor edge toning, but an attractive piece.

Skylab 1, 1973, FLOWN Insulation (1.5x1") mounted in a clear lucite cylinder (4x2.5") with a descriptive brochure at the bottom. This piece of insulation was part of the debris that crashed back to earth in Kalfoolie, Australia in 1979. The cylinder is somewhat rubbed and in need of polishing, but this is an attractive piece of memorabilia that belongs in every collection.

Skylab 3, 1973, FLOWN US Flag (6x4") mounted on a multicolor presentation certificate that reads: "John F. McInerny / Presented in appreciation of your role in the success of the Skylab Program. This flag was taken to the Workshop by the Skylab II Astronauts, July 28-September 25, 1973 (hand-signed by) Kurt Debus". Extremely scarce and one of the few flown flags we have seen from this flight.

Skylab 3, 1973, "Wives" Crew Patch (4") This original patch was issued as a caricature of the flight's crew patch with a nude woman used in place of Leonardo da Vinci's famous nude man and the names of the crew wives (Sue, Helen-Mary,and Gratia) in place of the names of the astronaut crew. Extremely rare today as only a limited number of patches were made and few were saved at the time.

Also included is a copy of an April 6, 1961 "Aviation Week & Space Technology" magazine with a cover photo: "First U.S. space shuttle vehicle poised for launch on Launch Complex 39A at the NASA Kennedy Space Center…". This photo was taken by the Patch designer, Ardis Shanks, when she attended the launch. She has signed the magazine cover below the Young/Crippen crew patch at the upper right. Virtually pristine condition. This magazine is one of only three left in the consigner's collection. A great pair.

The cover is autographed around the "Wives" Patch cachet by crew wives, Sue Bean, Helen Garriott, Gratia Lousma as well as by Patch designer Ardis Shanks. The cover is also signed and numbered (#3 of 14) by hand on the reverse by the designer. Unaddressed and with a light vertical fold between the two cachets. The designer's address label is on the flap. Rare.

The cover is autographed around the "Wives" Patch cachet by crew wives Sue Bean, Helen Garriott, Gratia Lousma as well as by Patch designer Ardis Shanks. The cover is also signed and numbered (#000002 out of 7) in pencil by hand on the reverse by the designer. The cover has a typed address to the patch designer and an address label of the patch producer, Jacques Tiziou, is on the flap. Rare.

Skylab 3, 1973, "Suzy K." by Ardis Shanks (8x10") What, you ask, does this have to do with Skylab 3?? This original artwork was painted by Skylab 3 "wives" patch artist/designer Ardis Shanks. The artwork is pastel on fiberboard and is marked on the reverse in the artist's hand: "Suzy K by Ardis, 1973, Nassau Bay, Houston, TX". A striking work of art in pristine condition with only minor edge faults as might be expected after 35 years. A great addition to any collection.

Skylab 3, 1973 Parasol/ Sunshade" Material (1.25x.5") Front and back samples of the Sunshade are attached to a limited edition (No. 78/2500), multicolor presentation card (11x14") issued by AVD Services. The parasol/sunshade was used to shade Skylab from micrometeroids and tempreture extremes during the flight. This card is signed by astronaut Alan Bean at the lower left. Attractive.
