French & Indian War Era Massachusetts Military Summons. Partly-printed Massachusetts military summons, by Capt. William Taylor, to John Green, 3 x 3¾ in., Boston, 9 Sept. 1765: "Sir, In His Majesty's Name you are hereby required to appear at your Colours, at the usual Place of Parade, this Evening, at Six o'Clock, with Arms and Ammunition according to Law, in Order for a Military Watch. Hereof fail not…." Ink leakage at the top has caused a tiny ink burn. Tipped to a dark color board background; small corner repairs.

Payment Order For Furnishing Stores Against Crown Point. Manuscript document ordering payment to Hezekiah Huntington of "Six hundred Pounds in Specie…to be improved in providing Stores & for the Expedition designed against Crown Point the Current year. Stratford, 19 April 1756…," 4½ x 7½ in. Signed by Daniel Edwards and John Ledyard. Hezekiah Huntington became a Major in the Connecticut Militia in 1775. John Ledyard would serve as corporal of Captain James Cook's flagship "Resolution". He is the author of Journal of Captain Cook's Last Voyage To the Pacific Ocean, Hartford Connecticut, Nathaniel Patten, 1783.
