Lindbergh, Charles A (1802-74) American aviator who, in his "Spirit of St. Louis," was the first to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean. Typed letter signed with initials ("C.A.L."), 1p, on onion skin paper, 11 x 8¼ in., Les Monts-de-Corsier, 13 Aug. 1964. To his personal secretary, Mrs. Jean Saunders, asking her to fill in the required information for a Travelers Insurance form. "…Please let me see a copy of the data you fill…." With transmittal envelope. Fine.

Famous 1932 Lindbergh Baby $25,000 Reward Broadside. Titled "$25,000 Reward! For Information Resulting in the Apprehension and Conviction of the Kidnapers of Charles A. Lindbergh, Jr.", 27 x 17 in., signed in print by General Norman Schwarzkopf's father. The broadside gives a complete listing of the serial numbers on the currency used to pay the ransom for the recovery of Lindbergh's baby. The contact if any of this currency was found was Colonel H.N. Schwarzkopf, Superintendent of the New Jersey State Police, whose son is General Norman Schwarzkopf of "Desert Storm" fame. Issued by the U.S. Government Printing Office in 1932. Folded as it was when sent (no envelope) with some petty edge nicks and minor fold separations. Premium quality for this large item and a classic piece of historical Americana.
