Balloon, 2002, "Nazca" FLOWN Peruvian Flight Cover (No. 167/500) signed by pilot Julian Nott. This unusual cover has a printed cachet that says: "Proving that ancient aeronauts could have flown in balloons above the Nazca Plain". ALSO included is a piece of the flown balloon fabric, mounted on a card with a matching flight cachet. An interesting and colorful cover that is seldom available.

Balloons - Decorative Scarves. Lot of seven silk or cotton scarves of assorted sizes, each decorated with a "hot air balloon" theme. Included are a large, multicolor silk scarf depicting the Montgolfier Balloon (the first hot air balloon to fly and includes its original Air France "Concorde" Presentation folder), three similar green/black and one similar red/black small silk scarves depicting an early balloon flight, a beautiful large cotton scarf showing a multicolor flight of a fleet of balloons and a large black and white silk scarf by designer Judy Evans as issued for the "International Balloon Meet, Dunstable, 1971". An interesting and attractive lot.

1935/1939, "Rocket Mail" Covers/Cards. Lot of three different pieces including an October 1, 1939 Cuba flown cover (E-Z No. 1C1, cat. $350) with only 60 covers flown (tape mounts on reverse), a June 6, 1935 Indian flown card (E-Z No. 11C1, cat. $200) with only 110 cards flown and an April 9, 1935 Sikkim flown cover (E-Z No. 4C1, cat. $150) with only 175 covers flown (some wrinkles/soil). All are properly cancelled and in good overall condition. A great classic lot.
