China. Pair of Peking Cameo Glass Decorated Jars. Ca. 1930s, each with a matching lid, to an overall height of 5 inches. Both with opaque white base, one with deep blue and red-orange etched designs of birds, fish, squirrel, treee, etc. and bats on the lid; the second in red-orange and white having birds, fish, flowers and pumpkins on the body and lid. Excellent condition. Total of 2 pieces.

Bohemia. Art Nouveau Ahne Painted Glass Vase. A ca. 1900 winged sun goddess soaring the heavens with butterfly wings dominates the front of this early 20th century decorated white opaque glass vase 17" in height. A brilliant sun sits atop a torch she holds while an eagle holding lightning bolts in its talons flies at her feet. On the back two colorful birds meet in mid flight. Signed at lower right "Ahne." Beautifully colored and in excellent condition.
Bohemian glassmaker Josef Ahne (1860-1925) and his sons Gustav & Theodor Ahne specialized in painted and enamelled figural compositions often based on earlier continental paintings.
