[Baseball & Football] Buddy Young,"Lefty" Gomez, Steve Largent, Roger Clemens. Buddy Young (1926-1983) the shortest man to play pro football. A 13½" x 10½" action photo with a 6" x 4" autograph note to "Rooster" signed "BY"; Lefty Gomez (1908-1989) left-handed Yankee pitcher (1930-1942), National Baseball HOF (1972) inscribed double photo inscribed to Rooster; Steve Largent (1954 -) played with Seattle Seahawks, National Football HOF (1995); Roger Clemens signed Topps card, "'97 Season Highlights; and a 1946 copy of "The Jaycee Chicagoan" signed by Joe. E. Brown (1892-1973) actor who loved baseball and portrayed baseball players in many of his movies.

Franklin Mint Baseball Legends Collector's Knife Set. Six folding knives featuring Cy Young, Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Roger Hornsby, Ty Cobb, and Whitey Ford. Each with a hand-painted bas relief sculpture atop a 24k gold coated baseball bearing its player's signature. Stainless steel blades display their name and a career highlight. Bolsters accented with 24k gold and inset with enameled baseball diamonds displaying jersey number or team emblem. Also includes COA's for Ruth, Ford, Young, and Gehrig. Front of Ford bolster is detached with some scratches to wood and Gehrig enameled paint is worn, otherwise set is in good condition.

Stanford University Full-color Silk, c. 1900-1920. 6½" x 5" silk showing a left-handed baseball pitcher with the Stanford "S" on his uniform sleeve winding up to fire a fast one to the plate. "Stanford" appears in bright red letters at the top and at lower left is the school seal: "Leland Stanford Junior University, Organized 1891." Pictorial silk illustrations were a prized art form in the early 1900s; many were given as premiums to those who amassed a certain quantity of tobacco coupons. Minor toning around edges; otherwise a fine specimen.

Louis, Joe (1914-1982) Heavyweight boxing champion; won 69 of 72 fights, 54 by knockout. He held the heavyweight title longer than anyone else and defended it seven times between December 1940 and June 1941. Vintage photograph signed "Yours Truly, Joe Louis," 10"x8". Another hand has added "To Joe Weisberger" and "June 1941," the month and year Louis defeated Billy Conn at the Polo Grounds in New York. Fine; light age toning and minor soiling to borders and upper corners. A great period photo showing Louis, attired in gloves and monogrammed trunks, taking a boxing stance.

Autographed 1966 Golden PGA Championship Book. 244pp companion guide to the tournament held July 18-24, 1966. Ssigned on the autograph page and the back cover by 14 PGA champions: George Knudson, Dave Marr, Mason Rudolph, Sam Snead, Doug Ford, Gardner Dickinson Jr., R.H. Sikes, Gay Brewer Jr., Ray Floyd, Julius Boros, John Lotz, Jack Niklaus, [?] Mann, and Tony Lema. Lema was killed in a plane crash on July 24, the last day of the tour. From the collection of a former PGA player who was present at the event. Some faint toning to back cover, otherwise very good.

Lindberg, Pelle (1959-1985) Swedish-born Philadelphia Flyers goalie from 1982-85. His tragic death as a result of a Nov. 1985 car accident inspired this piece of original music and lyrics. Given to Lindberg's back-up goalie, Bob Froese, by the "Women Against Drunk Driving" of Stockholm, Sweden, and the 16 Chapters of Pennsylvania, it was later given to Pelle's best friend, Flyer's medical staff member Dr. Steve Rosenberg. This rare piece is the only one of its kind in existence and has never been offered for sale. Includes three taped music sheets, 11" x 25½", matted and framed to an overall size of 19½" x 34" (no glass). Comes with the original envelope addressed to Froese, also matted and framed to 18½" x 21½".
