Five World War I Posters, 30" x 20" (1) Victory Liberty Loan "And They Thought We Couldn't Fight," 1917 or 1918, designed by Clyde Forsythe and printed by Ketterlinus, Philadelphia; "5-CC" is at lower left. A bloodied but smiling American Doughboy exudes confidence for the home front as he holds three German spiked helmets and his bayonet. Small paper losses at lower margin, not affecting image. (2) 2nd Liberty Loan of 1917, by Dewey, printed by the T.F. Moorwe Co., New York. "No. 6" is at lower left. A young girl and boy urge support for their daddy, who is fighting at the Front. A stick-shaped explosive device and a bubble with two words has been penciled in; light toning and creasing at top; one edge tear at right border. (3) United States Fuel Administration, "Mine More Coal."by Walter Whitehead, 1918, published by Edwards & Deutsch Litho. Co., Chicago. Great image of a miner and a soldier back to back; text portion is marred by 11" and 2"vertical tears;; also several edge chips. (4) Third Red Cross Roll Call, by Haskell Coffin; lovely image of a nurse in white; 12½" vertical tear from top edge and two small area of paper loss at edge. (5) "The First Three" by Kidder, featuring Hay, Enright and Gresham; numerous tears. All posters shrink-wrapped to board.

World War I French Poster by Poulbot, 1916. "14 juillet 1916 Journée de Paris," published by H. Chacoin, 47½" x 32". Four young children pay tribute to two wounded soldiers as they pass. Name of a former owner is penned at lower left. Some tape remnants at edges, some marginal tears, and small paper loss at upper right corner. A lovely poster. Poulbot was known for his portrayal of children.

World War I German Skull Stein. Porcelain, on a book-shaped base inscribed on either side in Latin: "Gaudeamus Igitur" ("Let Us Rejoice Therefore") and "Juvenesdum Sumus" ("While We Are Young"). With a pewter and porcelain flip-up lid.
