California Indian War Five Button Sackcoat. 100% authentic piece in wonderful condition with original linings, inside pocket, and buttons. Sleeve linings display a very seldom seen San Francisco Depot Quarter Master's stamp, dated 1888-9. Following the discovery of gold in California in 1848, Native American tribes experienced escalating conflict with both U.S. cavalry soldiers and encroaching settlers.

Civil War Kepi From Custer's Unit. Navy wool. 7½" x 6½" inside cap; brass buttons with eagle insignias on ends of strap; front of crown features bronze ornaments of two crossed sabres with an A above and a 5 below, indicating Company A, 5th Cavalry. Condition good; missing lining.

Civil War/Indian Wars Kepi. Black wool. 8"x 6" inside cap. Red silk lining inside crown shows: G.F. Foster Son & Co., 172 Madison St., Chicago, Manufacturers of Military & Society Goods. Visor strap is loose and features a brass button with an eagle insignia at each end of the band. Front of crown depicts golden wreathing curved around the letters U.W. Condition good.

Northern Plains Indian Blanket, c. 1890s. 80" x 60"; Sioux or Cheyenne navy blue wool blanket with intricate horizontal beading across center showcasing a white beaded band with patterned tribal symbols in red, pink, blue, green, and brown. Possibly belonged to a tribal chief.
