A few excerpts: 24 July 1946 "…I am sure that you will prepare the repertoire so well that we will be able to 'get away' with this risky arrangement….A detailed repertoire list will follow. For the present I will ask you to prepare to the best of your abilities: the second Busoni Sonata (Breitkopf) a most exciting pianistic task, also the Stravinsky Divertimento (Edition de Musique Rusee) which you might be able to find at Galaxy Music Corp. or at the Curtis or at some violinist's…" 29 May 1947 ".I am happy to think that our work next season will be mapped out carefully and prepared in a more leisurely manner than during this past October.
