Rare Pennsylvania October 25, 1775 Completely Signed and Numbered Uncut Sheet of 12. Complete from the 3 pence thru the 20 shillings. 4 notes are No. 3 and 8 notes are No. 4. Remander sheets sometime appear on the market, but these are unsigned and not numbered. This is an original sheet that was singed and numbered and left uncut and thus Very Rare. This sheet has never appeared at market before. Ragged about the borders as expected and folded at the borders with foxing. PMG graded fine 15 net internal splits and aging.

Maryland. July 26, 1775 $8. PCGS graded Very Good 10. . Fr-MD-77. This is a rare Maryland issue that is not often seen in higher grades. The printing remains sharp as does one of the signatures, and although the edges are frayed the note remains intact. This crudely engraved piece is a wonderful example of Colonial era printing.

Virginia. Apr. 1, 1773 20s James River Bank Issue. PCGS graded Apparent Very Fine 20, Minor Restorations. . Fr-VA-62. This is the much scarcer 1773 James River Bank issue, a note that is seldom seen much finer. There are a few minor restorations that are expertly executed, but the overall appearance is quite sharp and is far better than most we have seen. A rare note in all grades, and one that will appeal to even the most advanced collector.

Printed by Thomas Coram of Charleston, this issue is one of the more elegantly engraved and popularly collected series in all Colonial Currency. This denomination features a vignette on back of Hercules strangling a lion. A couple of edge splits do not severely detract.

Only L4,000 total was issued for all four denominations. This example has a stain in the upper right corner and is repaired horizontally along the center, but the signatures and printing inks remain bold and clear.

New Hampshire notes are not common as a whole, and affordable examples that retain good eye appeal are not easy to locate. The tear present from the hole cancellation isn't immediately visible at first glance, and yet it presents the opportunity to own a nice looking piece at a fraction of the price of a problem-free note.
