1836. NCS graded Details of Proof 45. A very popular type coin. Untoned; holed and plugged near the date. Smooth surfaces and unimpaired rims. Soft detail merges some of the letter in LIBERTY into the shield ribbon. Designs are by Christian Gobrecht, whose name appears on the base below Liberty (PCGS # 11225) .
