Lot 777
Pair of Satsuma-style Vases. Japan, c. 1890-1925. The pieces are unusual in they display typical Satsuma technique, combined with use of cobalt blue borders, associated with Imari wares. Vases with two painted panels, with wide cobalt borders ornamented with gilt chrysanthemums and enameled peonies. The panels with garden scenes; one perhaps a tea ceremony. Vases free of major defects, with expected wear and loss to the gilding. Heights: 11-7/8". Lot of 2 items.

Lot 778
Lot of Ceramic Items bearing a Trio of Roseville Patterns. Ohio, United States, c. 1930's-1940's. Largest and most impressive is the Console Bowl in "apple Blossom" pattern, in mellow yellow-greens, pinks and faint whites. Length: 17". Also, a handsome candelabra with "magnolia" motif -- in deep greens with white and pink-red flowers. Width: 9-1/2". Last, a pair of candlesticks with berry pattern, in a very harmonious color scheme of varied greens, brown, and pink-red. All intact and finely preserved. The glazes all with light craqueleur.
