British Commonwealth, 1851-1900. An extensive mint and used collection in mounts on Scott pages, with numerous stamps cataloging $50-$600. Better areas include Canada with good Provincial issues, some Large Queens, Victoria Jubilee to the $1 mostly mint, also Newfoundland, Cyprus, Gibraltar, Barbados and much more; virtually the entire Commonwealth of the period is represented. Mixed condition tending toward Fine but with small faults on many of the higher values, still a useful lot with many better retail or Internet items. Inspection a must.

Europe and Colonies, 1849-1900. An extensive mint and used collection in mounts on Scott pages, with a wealth of better items in the $50-$1000 range. Note Belgium nearly complete for the period (cat. value about $2300) including First Issues, Sunday tabs and some parcel post; Denmark, Finland (cat. value around $3,000) including some rouletted, France with good Cérès, some Napoleons and Sage, French Colonies, a few Greece and Italy, Luxembourg, good Netherlands and colonies (cat. value around $2700), Norway, Sweden (cataloging around $2700) including #4 used, Switzerland and more. Mixed condition with small faults on many of the higher values, still attractive appearance. Inspection will prove worthwhile.

Germany and Austria, 1850-1900. A noteworthy mint and used collection of classics in mounts on Scott pages. Austria is nearly complete used for the period, plus there is a smattering of German States, German Empire issues with the Large and Small Shields nearly complete plus a certified used 1900 5m Reichspost (Mi 66 III), also Offices Abroad and some German Colonies including good Yacht issues. Mixed condition, the higher values mainly with small faults, still an attractive appearing collection with many values cataloging $50-$500.

Great Britain, 1840-1900. An impressive classic collection in mounts on Scott pages, mainly used. Noteworthy are used 1840 1d black and 2d blue, 1847-54 Embossed issues used, better Line Engraved, also Surface Printed high values including 1878 10s MC, 1883 £1 lilac and 1891 £1 green (all used), also a selection of better Officials. Mixed condition, many with small faults, the majority attractive appearing. A useful collection for the classics specialist or dealer.

1918, 2¢ carmine, Offset imperf, type Va. . Scott 534. Original gum never hinged complete uncut sheet of 400 with eight plate blocks of six and all of the listed position blocks of four. Two edge tears: one 1¾" affects one stamp; a 1" tear does not. Extremely Fine.

Italy, Airmail, 1933, 5.25L+44.75L Transatlantic Flight. . Scott C49. A lovely showpiece. Sassone 52. Full tryptich with Apparecchio I-Balb (Balbo) on a flown 1933 cover to Chicago, signed by Balbo and his flight lieutenant Cagna. Excellent condition overall, with all proper postmarks and cachets. Very Fine. With 1970 Bolaffi photocertificate.
