1903 Teddy Roosevelt in Santa Fe, New Mexico Button & Ribbon. An 8.5" red silk ribbon by Whitehead & Hoag with their label on back; "Welcome To The President Santa Fe New Mexico May 5, 1903" imprinted in gold; gilt fringe at bottom. In the center is a 1.75" celluloid photo of TR. Slightly folded, otherwise excellent to near mint condition.

(James A. Garfield). Contemporary framed memoriam to the assassinated President. A large finely printed (by the Bureau of Engraving & Printing) invitation to a memorial service held on February 27, 1882, five months after his death, is set into an ornate black velvet-lined frame. Above, is the darkened remains of a U.S. five cents stamp bearing Garfield's image. The antique frame shows slight chips and modest corner damage, but overall is quite good. Size: 13-1/2" x 17-1/4".

(James A. Garfield). Cream and black memorial ribbon with an oval holding a bust portrait of President Garfield. Above: "In Memory of Our President," and below: "General Jas. A. Garfield." Housed in a cusom-made 9" x 4½" folding case with gilt lettering opposite the ribbon and on the cover. Pristine.

(McKinley, William). Clear-glass 10½" x 8" memorial plate with a full-length McKinley portrait in bas relief with the inscriptions: "Born 1843…Died 1901" on either side, "It Is Gods Way" at the top, and "His Will Be Done," at the base. A laurel design encircles the edges, with a flower at the very bottom. Light hairline scratches, otherwise near mint.

(N. Currier) "Death of Harrison, April 4 A.D. 1841." 14" x 10", hand colored print depicting the death of President Harrison, surrounded by family and colleagues including Daniel Webster as Secretary of State. Below the main title a Harrison quote, "I wish you to understand the true principles of the Government. I wish them carried out. I ask nothing more.", a wise and cogent admonition even now. Engraved by F. Granger Post and published by N. Currier, 2 spruce St., New York in 1841. Some minor age tone, otherwise nice condition and framed to an overall size of 21" x 17".

Roosevelt, Franklin D. Small poster with photographic portrait of F D R. The three-quarters facing image copyrighted by Pach Brothers. The poster's banner: "Carry on with Franklin D. Roosevelt." Presumably this was printed up for the 1936 Presidential Election. Paper a bit browned with age, but overall fine to very fine condition, with a couple of staple marks. Size: 19" x 12-1/2."

(Seward William H (1801–1872) Governor of New York and United States Secretary of State under Abraham Lincoln and Andrew Johnson. On April 14, 1865, the same night that John Wilkes Booth fatally wounded President Abraham Lincoln, Seward was stabbed numerous times by Lewis Powell, an associate of Booth's. Seward survived but carried the scars for the rest of his life. Bust engraved "W. Seward," and with the artist's name, "Emile Guillem," c. 1861-1872. 8¾" high, 4¾" wide on a 3¼" square base. A few dings to bust; more to base.

Thomas E. Dewey & John W. Bricker. Two full color portrait posters of the Republican Party's presidential and vice-presidential candidates for the United States presidential election of 1944. The images are derived from oil paintings of each by Howard Renwick. The paper condition generally good, but with noticeable chipping to the top edges of each. Sizes: 24-3/8" x 18". Lot of 2 items.
