Lot 3506
1891, $1 Treasury Note. CGA graded Choice Uncirculated 64. . Fr-352. . KL-60. This Treasury Ace has good eye appeal for the grade, and it certainly appears to have just missed a "65" due to the back top margin which is a hair too close. CGA graded Choice Uncirculated 64.

Lot 3509
1890, $10 Treasury Note. PCGS About New 53PPQ. . Fr-368. . KL-432. This $10 Treasury or "Coin" Note has only a couple of bends that prevent a higher grade, and unlike most examples of this type that we have seen it retains its full originality. The 1890 series is much scarcer than the 1891 series, and notes at this grade level represent great value to the collector.
Estimated Value $3,000 - 4,000.

Lot 3510
1891, $20 Treasury Note. PMG graded Gem Uncirculated 65. . Fr-375. . KL-596. The comments on the back of the grading insert read "exceptional paper quality, great embossing," statements which we cannot disagree with despite not being able to fully examine the note through the PMG holder. The colors appear bold and bright, and the centering and margins are adequate for the grade, although the back design is too close at the top for a higher grade. A true rarity in this grade, as we have seen no example from either of the two major services with a higher grade.
Estimated Value $17,000 - 20,000.

Lot 3511
1891, $20 Treasury Note. PCGS graded Gem New 65. . Fr-375. . KL-596. This lovely Gem example is from a type that is seldom seen in high grade. This example earned the "65" grade from PCGS because of its excellent margins and bright colors. The paper is perhaps a trifle flat, perhaps why the "PPQ" designation was not assigned by PCGS.
Estimated Value $17,000 - 20,000.
