Davis, Bette Nightgown From Bride Came C.O.D. A gorgeous champagne satin, sleeveless, floor-length nightgown with a lace trim and a satin v-neck bodice, designed by Orry-Kelly for Bette Davis in her role as "Joan Winfield" opposite James Cagney. In the 1941 Warner Bros. film, Davis plays an oil heiress who plans to elope with bandleader Allen (Tommy Keenan), but penniless pilot Steve (Cagney) makes a deal with her father to "kidnap" her to avoid the marriage. The "runaway heiress" was a popular theme in the 1930s and 40s. One reviewer called the film "exhaustingly entertaining." The gown is a beautiful piece of film history.

Ice-T's Shirt and Vest In Surviving the Game. Olive green, long-sleeve shirt and camouflage vest from the 1994 movie in which Ice-T plays Mason, a homeless man being hunted for sport by six wealthy men. He co-starred with Rutger Hauer, Charles Dutton, Gary Busey, and others. A production tag is in the pocket of the 16-16½ x 35 soiled shirt, with Ice-T's name, the movie's title, and the item number. Both pieces have "Mason" written in ink on the label. The shirt is by Dickies; the vest is by Cabela's.

John Wayne's Screen-Worn Shirt. Blue bibb shirt worn by John Wayne in "Stagecoach," the 1939 film directed by John Ford that made him a star. Made by Western Costume Co. and labeled "No. 2147-5, John Wayne #2, Chest 46." Wayne liked the clothes made for him by Western Costume so much that he often wore them off of film sets. Accompanied by a still from the film showing Wayne wearing this shirt.

"Stagecoach" is a western about a group of strangers on a stagecoach that is attacked by Apaches. Wayne played "The Ringo Kid"and Claire Trevor played "Dallas," the female lead. The movie was made in Monument Valley, Utah and was nominated for five Academy Awards; it won for Best Supporting Actor and Best Music. John Ford won the New York Film Critics Circle Award for Best Director. Wayne and Ford would go on to make more than 20 movies together.

Mike Meyers' Screen-Worn Sweater and Ski Mask From "View From the Top". Black Calvin Klein turtleneck sweater and black ski mask with cutouts worn by comedian and actor Mike Meyers in his role as hijacker John Whitney in the 2003 comedy film, "View From the Top." The film costarred Gwyneth Paltrow, Mark Ruffalo, Christina Applegate, and others. A tag on both pieces notes that they are for the character John Whitney, Change 4, Scene 76. Both items were acquired from the set by the costumer and were stored in Wardrobe archives until sold at auction. Accompanied by a still from the movie showing Myers wearing the sweater. With COA from Hollywood Prop Supply.

"The Rock" Jacket Signed by Connery & Cage. Crew jacket for the 1996 film (released in 1997) signed on the left side: "With Best Wishes / Sean Connery" and on the other: "Nicolas Cage" A memorial patch to Don Simpson is sewn on the right sleeve; an American flag is velcroed to the left sleeve. Back says "A Don Simpson / Jerry Bruckheimer Production / THE ROCK / A Michael Bay Film." No size marked but at least a large, men's size. Excellent condition.

Screen-Worn Warbrobe Ensemble From "The Longest Yard". Items worn by Adam Sandler, Chris Rock, Burt Reynolds, Hall of Fame football player/actor Michael Irvin, and professional wrestler/actor Steve Austin in the 2005 sports/comedy film "The Longest Yard." They include: short-sleeved blue shirt worn by actor Adam Sandler in his role as one-time pro quarterback "Paul Crewe," with "Allenville Penitentiary" stenciled across the back and "Crewe" in black marker inside the neck; longsleeved shirt worn by actor Chris Rock in his role as "Caretaker," with "Allenville Penitentiary" stenciled across the back and "C.T" in black marker inside the 18-18½ neck.; longsleeved blue shirt worn by actor Burt Reynolds in his role as "Coach Nate Scarborough," with "Inmate" stenciled across the back and "N.S." in black marker inside the 17-17½ neck; 2XL gray shirt with black trim worn by Steve Austin as prison guard "Dunham," with a patch on each sleeve, one with the Texas flag, and the other with the prison's name, and the name "Dunham" written in black marker on the label and on a piece of paper stapled to the label; and a light blue shirt worn by Michael Irvin as an inmate, with "Allenville Penitentiary" stenciled across the back; the darker blue, size 34 pants, have "AFP" stenciled on the front of the left leg and come with a dark blue canvas belt; a navy stocking cap completes the outfit.

The wardrobe items were originally acquired from the set by the costumer and were stored in Wardrobe until sold at auction. Accompanied by stills from the movie showing each actor wearing the wardrobe item(s) described here. Each item has a Certificate of Authenticity from Hollywood Prop Supply.
