Bleary-eyed silver dollar collectors will go for the smooth mirror surface and frosted relief luster with crisp definition and exceptionally clean '66-quality surfaces. Definitely, a premium example of the grade. Soft-edged Proofs aren't usually and in keeping with the careful preparation in striking, this piece is found with enough convincing detail to be called "bold". A marvelous Gem! As is often seen, the imprint that was left by the dies lacks a certain sharpness on an '83-CC, but this coin stands far ahead for the date. It has a wonderful clear sharp strike.
