Lot 2482
1922 Grant Gold Dollar, with star. PCGS graded MS-65 PQ. Rich golden-orange luster. Nicely struck, and unlike those few which have the faintest touch of weakness at the center of Grant's hair, this exemplary coin is bold. There is much to say about the beautiful surfaces of this historic 1922 commemorative gold dollar since they are nearly perfect, a quality always preferred when offered. The mint frost is aglow with intensity over each side. There is just a bit of light patina as well. 5,016 coins minted (PCGS # 7459) .
Estimated Value $3,300 - 3,600.
