Backs are printed first on the sheets, set aside to dry, and then the two front printings. In this instance, one sheet got turned around so that the back appears inverted. An unusual error, to say the least.

Although this C-note error appears at first to be simply an obstructed overprint, the telltale signs of a printed foldover are evident with a diagonal fold on the left half of the note and a partial district seal of the note below in the bottom right margin on the back.
