Fr-2304. 1934, $20 World War II Emergency Note. . Fr-2304. . KL-2523. PCGS Apparent Very Fine 20, Paper Clip Rust Stain. The non-mule version of this scarce issue is even rarer than the mule variety, and nice examples are hard to find. A great example to fill that hole in your set if you are a specialist in this series.

Lot 5320
1934-A, $20 World War II Emergency Note. . Fr-2305. . KL-2524. PCGS New 62 PPQ. Gem quality except for some handling. After the attack on Pearl Harbor, December 7, 1941, the U.S. government quickly printed these special brown seal, brown serial number HAWAII overprints to replace the regular paper money in the Island territory. These circulated throughout the war, and when the Japanese surrendered, the notes continued in use (they are still legal tender, but no one would spend one today due to the increased value from collectors). A popular adjunct to modern paper money collecting.
Estimated Value $500 - 700.
