1652 Oak Tree Shilling. NGC graded In at bottom (69.4 gns) EF-40 Noe 6, Rarity 7. Light grey toning. Clear tree definition in the branches, but weak at the bottom where portions of the legend disappear beyond the edge of the planchet. A clear date with bold denomination, the reverse has extensive die breakage, including a blob of metal to the right of the denomination, and extensive linkage of the tops of the letters at right involving ND-A in particular. Scarce early Oak tree coinage. NGC reports 2 at this level with 12 finer.

1652 Oak Tree Shilling. PCGS graded Newcomb-1. Fine-15 IN at Left. Pleasing natural gray toning with some old hairlines in the lower left obverse field. Unevenly struck and worn in places, with rim into the design somewhat. Scarce early American colonial issue. Pop 1; none finer.
