Lot 5072
Fr-2308. 1934, $10 World War II Emergency Note. Mule. . Fr-2308. . KL-2259. PCGS Very Fine 30PPQ. Next to the 1933 $10 Silver Certificate, the 1934 series North Africa $10 is perhaps the most difficult to locate small size note in any series. It is rare in all grades, and small size collectors must usually wait years between offerings. This collection has two examples, an unusual circumstance that will likely be well received by bidders. This note is problem-free for the grade, and has above average eye appeal for a high-end VF. The paper is bright, and there is a trace of embossing that is visible through the holder. We expect spirited bidding on this one, and our estimate here may well prove conservative.
Estimated Value $6,000 - 9,000.
