Red Seal National, a very handsome note whose gem quality surfaces are bright white, colors vivid. The seal and charter number are in red on this very scarce Type. The serial number in deepest blue. And what is most fortunate here is the fact that the lower left serial (the bank's serial number) is "2"! The larger number in the upper right hand margin, is the Treasury department number, which seems to confuse collectors since these sometimes match the bank number but often differ. Crisp pen-and-ink signatures of the two bank officers, one of who is a Mr. Nixon.
