Lot 154
1942-S Liberty Walking Half Dollar. PCGS graded MS-65. Nice white example. Devices were struck with the primary energy to impart the design to the outer areas but not with enough oomph and vigor by the dies to impart clear-cut centers. This is a well-known trait of '42-S. The satin surfaces ripple with original luster, however. The coin is untoned and silvery, which is mighty fine. And finally, the only contact marks are so insignificant we can pass over them without another word (PCGS # 6617) .
Estimated Value $350 - 400.

Lot 155
1942-S Liberty Walking Half Dollar. PCGS graded MS-65. Nice white example. A unconvincing impression was left by the recoil of the (possibly worn) dies that struck this coin, leaving behind minor softness in the hand and branch end, the head and upper skirt lines. Just the same a fantastic coin in MS65 quality, with riveting appeal from crystal-white fields (PCGS # 6617) .
Estimated Value $350 - 400.

Lot 158
1944-S Liberty Walking Half Dollar. PCGS graded MS-65 PQ. Lovely light gold toning near the edges. The mint luster rolls around both sides with a pleasing cartwheel sheen, and none of the features reveal any bothersome distractions. Close to fully struck, with merely a hint of softness at the hand and upper skirt lines, along with the central area of the eagle's body. Nice coin (PCGS # 6623) .
Estimated Value $500 - 600.

Lot 159
1944-S Liberty Walking Half Dollar. PCGS graded MS-65. White example. A halfhearted impression was left by the striking of the improper die pressure that struck this doesn't imply that it isn't a gem. For that matter, both sides display the typical "look" for this S-mint delivery: thickly frosted surfaces, rolling cartwheel effects, and fresh originality (PCGS # 6623) .
Estimated Value $375 - 400.

Lot 160
1944-S Liberty Walking Half Dollar. PCGS graded MS-65. Nice white rxample. This is a pleasing, highly lustrous coin with a few grade-limiting luster grazes. Struck with controlled precision throughout the outer peripheral areas, although somewhat weak and compromised at the central locations (PCGS # 6623) .
Estimated Value $375 - 400.

Lot 163
1945-S Liberty Walking Half Dollar. PCGS graded MS-66. Untoned example. An outrageously nice example of this important date, with stark contrast between the satiny fields and significantly bold devices. Clear-cut devices point to it having been giving a full strike by the dies (PCGS # 6626) .
Estimated Value $500 - 525.

Lot 164
1946-S Liberty Walking Half Dollar. PCGS graded MS-65. Lovely toning on the obverse. This is a lovely, radiant Gem, both sides being evenly toned with frosty, silver-white luster shining through. Meticulous strike on every device is what collectors look for in a 1946-S, but that doesn't always happen and this coin doesn't quite make the "full" grade at the centers. Just the same, the numerical condition is exact and obviously was carefully weighed by the grading service (PCGS # 6629) .
Estimated Value $500 - 550.
