1920 Liberty Standing Quarter Dollar. ANACS graded MS-64. Lovely rainbow toning on both sides. Gleaming, satiny luster and excellent detail. Only a single tiny mark on the inside of Liberty's thigh; one equally insignificant mark near the eagle's left wing but the wings themselves are nearly pristine. The surfaces are such marvels of toning that we expect this handsome Mint State 64 to bring multiples of what a fully white coin would realize (PCGS # 5734) .

A high degree of cartwheel luster still spins gracefully on the satiny, deep and colorfully toned surfaces of this choice About Uncirculated 58 1814 bust half, an exciting coin. The strike is mostly crisp in the key places, though some weakness is noted at the stars and the shoulder clasp as well as inside the left wing of the eagle.

1834 Capped Bust Half Dollar. Large date and letters. PCGS graded MS-61. Old green holder. Hint of light gold toning over the soft satiny luster. 1834 was a transition year of sorts at the U.S. mint. A series of minor adjustments occur in the size the the stars, the size of the letters, and date size, and the head of Liberty, which can be either fatter or thinner in its profile. Collectors often try to collect a representative set (PCGS # 6164) .

1861-O Liberty Seated Half Dollar. NGC graded MS-61. Old holder. Well struck with a hint of light gold toning. The mint in New Orleans was seized by the forces of the Confederacy early in 1861, but production continued for a short while thereafer. But once the full economic tragedy unfolded, the mint closed shop for the duration, and in fact, New Orleans was not allowed to strike coins again until 1879. Pop 9; 96 finer.
