Cleveland, Frances F (1864-1927) First Lady. Executive Mansion Card Signed as First Lady in black ink, 2¾"x4½", n.p., n.d. Very fine; light toning and one small spot after the signature. With a Cabinet Photograph by C.M. Bell, Washington, D.C., 6½"x4¼", engraved on the mount: "Mrs. Cleveland…1886." Fine except for a few small ink spots. Frances Folsom married President Grover Cleveland on June 2, 1886; Cleveland was the only President to marry in the White House. Both items are affixed to a 10½"x8" toned album page.

Madison, Dolley Payne (1768-1849) Wife of James Madison, the 4th President of the U.S.; she was one of the most popular First Ladies ever. Folded letter cover Free Franked, "Free D.P. Madison," and addressed in her hand to the poet Lydia Segourney: "Mrs. L. H. Sigourney / Hartford, Connecticut." With red "FREE" stamp and red circular postmark: "WASHINGTON CITY / FEB 25." Most of Mrs. Madison personal black sealing wax stamp is extant.
