Jung, Carl (1875-1961) Swiss psychiatrist and founder of Analytical Psychology. Typed Letter Signed "Ihr [your] Jung," in German, 1p, 4"x6", Küsnacht, 1932 June 11. Fine; with translation. To "Dear Kranefeldt," thanking him for his "beautifully written essay on 'Eternal Analysis'. The Wharton Family is a difficult subject. You have to talk to the wife occasionally." After signing off with "Best regards," he adds, "An objective response to Paneth's report would be quite appropriate. Though I did not read it, I can accept your idea that it must be quite dumb."

Steinmetz, Charles P (1865-1923) German-American electrical engineer; the wizard of General Electric. Photograph Signed, 10"x8", n.p., n.d. A publicity photo on card stock titled "Dr. Steinmetz with fragments of tree branch damaged by lighting from lightning generator." Very good; a couple of marginal chips. Among his achievements, Steinmetz worked on the theory and calculation of alternating-current phenomena, investigated electrical phenomena duplicating those of lightning, and patented over 200 inventions.
