1933-D Oregon Trail Half Dollar. NGC graded MS-68 Star. Here is the finest graded '33-D Oregon with absolutely incredible toning. The obverse displays intense violet and deep blue in the center which radiates outwards into electric blue and terminating in deep violet at the borders. The reverse is a bit more subtle with lighter shades of violet. PCGS has never reported a 1933-D better than MS-67. NGC reports a single specimen in MS-68 and then this recent discovery, the only example in MS-68 Star. Stored in an old W. Raymond album for over 60 years (PCGS # 9343) .
