Liberty Walking Half Dollars

Lot Photo Description Realized
Lot 266
1918 Liberty Walking Half Dollar. NGC graded MS-61 PQ. This one must have been graded late in the day, late in the week, and after a night of revelry or in anticipation of one, as it seems so under-graded! The strike is quite decent, the surfaces relatively mark free, the satiny luster is vibrant and full and further enhanced by attractive light golden tone. Population of 30, but we doubt the others are this nice and we recommend careful inspection.
Estimated Value $400 - 450.

Lot 267
1919-D Liberty Walking Half Dollar. PCGS graded MS-62 P.Q. A trifle softly struck in the centers, the probable reason PCGS grades this only a "MS-62" as the frosty white surfaces are remarkably clean. We deem this lovely brilliant uncirculated example Premium Quality for the grade. PCGS reports 40 in this grade with 37 in MS-63, 64 in MS-64, 10 in MS-65 and 1 in MS-66 (PCGS # 6578) .
Estimated Value $5,000 - 6,000.
