U.S. Quarter Dollars

Lot Photo Description Realized
Lot 1170
1932-S Washington Quarter Dollar. PCGS graded MS-64. A lustrous and near-gem scarcity. Predominantly white with the perfect amount of sky-blue iridescence and light golden patina to propel eye appeal to an even higher level. Only 408,000 Washington quarters were produced at the San Francisco Mint in 1934, just a tad less than the 436,800 produced at the Denver Mint. From the entire Washington quarter issues, 1934-1964, only these two 1934 branch mint issues have mintages of less than 1 million coins. This fact will insure an eternal supply of demand from collectors and one can only imagine the future demand when kids raised during the present State Quarter Program began to earn more discretionary income (PCGS # 5792) .
Estimated Value $1,900 - 2,000.
