Lot 699
Draped Bust Quarter Dollar. 1804. PCGS graded Fair-2. A popular key date from the early Draped Bust quarter series and U.S. quarter series as a whole. A basic outline of Liberty can be seen, as well as remnants of the stars and LIBERTY. The date is actually quite sharp. Reverse detail is the same as the obverse with the outline of the eagle, stars and clouds and STATES weak. No lettering is seen from 3:00-9:00. Both sides display dark hues of maroon, blue and yellow. The first year of issue of this short lived design, 1804-1807 (PCGS # 5312) .

Lot 708
Liberty Seated Quarter Dollar. 1866. With motto. NGC graded MS-65. Amazingly pristine in conditoin! Silver surfaces with iridescent toning in the periphery and prooflike fields. Cameo to Deep Cameo in appearance with Liberty and the eagle being excessively frosty, almost perfectly. Fine parallel die polish lines seen on the obverse angled downwards. Those same quality die polish lines are seen on the reverse angled upwards. Light golden, magenta and blue hues grace the reverse borders as well. Only one mark can be said to be out of place and this is a faint scuff mark on the obverse, off the 10th star, heading the opposite direction of the die polish lines. Historically significant as the first year of issue of With Motto coinage. A superb gem specimen and unquestionably one of the finest for this issue! NGC has graded 16 in MS65 and only 3 one point better. Housed in an old NGC holder.
Estimated Value $5,000 - 5,500.

Liberty Standing Quarter Dollar. 1916. PCGS graded EF-40. A perfectly balanced example of this key date to the series and one that should bring fierce bidding in this collectible grade. Even, delicate gray surfaces with satiny luster still in the periphery. This piece is significant in the fact that while it definetely possesses XF wear, there are no marks that normally would correspond with such circulation. In fact, one can only find a tiny tick mark in the lower portion of the gown. Reverse detail is just as remarkable and light charcoal toning in the lettering magnifies the eye appeal. A classic first year of issue key date with a large collector base that is constantly growing (PCGS # 5704) .
