1937-D Buffalo Nickel. 3 legs. PCGS graded MS-63. Choice classic 3 legs specimen. The surfaces are a beautiful pewter color evenly over the coin. No spots or toning are found on either side. The horn on the Buffalo's head is well defined and the missing 3rd leg (result of excessive regrinding to remove clashmarks) is definietely missing. Lustrous and pleasing.

Buffalo nickels have exploded in popularity and price in the past few years. The 1937-D 3 Legs issue is a Classic Rarity in United States numismatics and is also a key date in the Buffalo Series. One can imagine how much the demand has surged for the 3 legs nickel in the current coin market. Bid accordingly as competition will be strong for this piece. Pop of 125 with 41 better (PCGS # 3982) .
