U. S. Coin Glass: Cake Salver on High Pedestle. Central Glass Co., of Wheeling, W. Virginia, c. 1892. Neat and attractive, with fluted and ribbed decoration. Encircling the base of the plate are the fronts and reverses of 9 Morgan dollars, dated 1892. Around the lower stem of the pedestal are the fronts and reverses of 6 Seated Liberty quarters, also dated 1892. The coin images are all frosted, and sharply molded. Height: 6-1/2"; Diameter: 10". In choice condition, without any obvious chips.

U. S. Coin Glass: Covered Compote Lid. Central Glass Co., of Wheeling, W. Virginia, c. 1892. Lid like those in other lots, with attractive fluted and ribbed decoration. Encircling lid are the fronts and reverses of 9 Seated Liberty half dollars, dated 1892; along with Morgan dollar handle. Lid in choice condition. Diameter: 8". Along with this, a "celery holder, " in essence a fluted, cylindrical vase. Around the base a raised and deeply fluted frieze showing the fronts and reverses of 6 Seated Liberty quarters, these a variety 5 type -- with arrows at the date. Condition excellent; showing only a bit of wear. Height: 6-1/4"; Diameter: 3-1/4". Lot of 2 items.

U. S. Coin Glass: Group of Six Desert Bowls. Central Glass Co., of Wheeling, W. Virginia, c. 1892. The bowls on short raised foot, with simpler, restrained ornament. The walls with raised panels alternating with single raised rib; the panels with the fronts and reverses of 6 Seated Liberty quarters dated to 1892, sharply molded and frosted. One dish with wear and modest chipping to the rim, while the rest range from a handful of trivial chips to pristine. Dish Height: 2-5/8"; Diameter: 3-7/8". Lot of 6 items.

U. S. Coin Glass: Hors d'Oeuvres or Pickle Dish. Central Glass Co., of Wheeling, W. Virginia, c. 1892. The dish consists of a fairly deep plate, of lobed shape, which is divided into four compartments. At the center, and integral to this is a small vase or cup for holding toothpicks or prongs. The dish with the usual rich ornamentation of moldings and fluting. The walls of the plate set with fronts and reverses of 6 Morgan dollars, the cup with 4 Seated Liberty quarters, all dated 1892. As usual, the coins are frosted. Dish very good, with occasional modest chip. Length: 8-3/4"; Height: 5-1/4". Rare shape.

U. S. Coin Glass: Large Kerosene Lamp Base. Central Glass Co., of Wheeling, W. Virginia, c. 1892. Handsome and elaborate, yet not overly ornate, the squarish lamp base stands on a tall hexagonal foot, all with the usual flutings and moldings. Each wall of the lamp base set with either the front or reverse of an 1892 Morgan dollar. Ringing the base of the stem, 6 Seated Liberty half dollars, dated 1892. The coin images are all frosted; the half dollars sharply molded, the dollars a bit soft. The glass in excellent condition, without any obvious chips. Height: 10-1/4"; Diameter: 4-3/4".

Encircling the bowl are the fronts and reverses of 9 Seated Liberty half dollars, dated 1892. Around the lower stem of the pedestal are the fronts and reverses of 6 Seated Liberty quarters, also dated 1892. The coin images are all frosted. Height: 7"; Diameter: 9-1/2". In exceptional condition, without any obvious chips. Rare.

U. S. Coin Glass: Rare Syrup Jug. Central Glass Co., of Wheeling, W. Virginia, c. 1892. The jug basically a single-handled small-mouth jar, with pewter cap having interior spout and hinged lid (lid's thumbrest missing). Lower half of jug with fluted and ribbed panels displaying the fronts and reverses of 6 Seated Liberty quarters dated to 1892, sharply molded and frosted. Along with this, a pair and salt and pepper shakers of the same form and ornament as seen in the other lots, these with 4 quarters each, 1892 and frosted. Their brass caps retaining some of its nickel finish. Lastly, a toothpick holder, identical to the Columbian Exposition example seen in another lot, but this one with 4 "Morgan"-style dollars, each retaining its silvered tone. Jug and shakers show some wear, but no significant chips. The holder is pristine. Jug, Height: 7". Shakers, Height: 3-1/8". Lot of 4 items.

U. S. Coin Glass: Small Kerosene Lamp Base. Central Glass Co., of Wheeling, W. Virginia, c. 1892. Unusually simple and plain, the ovoid lamp base stands on a short foot, with ribbing to the stem and 4 Seated Liberty quarters, dated 1892, around the foot. The coin images are clear rather than frosted -- the quarters being sharply molded. The lamp in very fine condition, with only a few modest chips, mostly at the foot. Height: 5-3/8". Along with this a pleasing little cruet with original stopper -- perhaps also Central Glass Co., but later, and using fantasy "coins" dated to 1887. These coins with eagle with square shield over breast, and the reverse a lit torch with starburst behind. But for chip to one of the coins, the cruet quite pristine. Height: 6". Lot of 2 items.
