A Schedule of Property in George Washington's Will. Windham Herald, Connecticut, March 13, 1800, 13½ x 10½ inches, 4 pp. Over 3 columns on pages 1 and 2 have the schedule of property from Washington's will, dated July 9, 1799, Mount Vernon, and signed in print by Washington. It includes property in Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, North West Territory, Kentucky, and on the Great Kanhawa River, as well as lots in the cities of Washington, Alexandria, Winchester, and Bath, shares in the Potomac Company, the James River Company, and the Bank of Columbia, and a list of livestock. There are explanatory notes and values for each item. Light foxing.

Columbian Centinel And Massachusetts Federalist. Boston, Massachusetts, January 25, 1800, 20 x 12 in., 4 pages. Large front page, two column description of "Continuation of Funeral Honors in Memory of Sainted Washington…paid by the troops stationed at Oxford." There follows an extensive and detailed description of the entire funerary march, beginning with sixteen guns fired at daybreak, fife and drum brigades, the carrying of a bier and the order of pall bearers, and "the General's horse covered with black, properly caparisoned; boots reversed; led by two servants in livery." A large, monumental obelish, 4½ feet high, with the inscription, "Washington He lives in our hearts." was carried by Master Masons. Much more. Tattered left edge from book-bound removal, not affecting story. Nice dark printed imprint with light overall toning. Handsome and suitable for framing.

A Prayer and Sermon Delivered at Charlestown, December 31, 1799; On the Death of George Washington Late President….Who Departed this life, at Mount Vernon, In Virginia on the 14th of the Same Month, In the 69th Year of His Age: With an Additional Sketch Of His Life. Eulogy by Jedidiah Morse, DD Pastor of The Church in Charlestown. Printed by Samuel Etheridge, Charlestown, 1800. The book also contains an account of the proceedings of the town before the eulogy, such as "The flags of the wharves at the shore were displayed half-staff…." The back section of the book contains a long letter by the French officer La Roche, a detailed description of Mount Vernon, "An account of the illness and death of George Washington"; and a descrription of Washington's funeral and internment at Mount Vernon, with a wood-cut illustration showing Washington's coffin with the position and names of the pall bearers. Also included are President John Adams' message to the Congress on Washington's death, and a printed letter from Martha Washington thanking the Congress. The final section contains "Washington's Farewell Address to the People of the United States."

Sand-Cast George Washington Iron Door Stop. Rare late 18th or early 19th century hand sand-cast door stop of General George Washington in full-length military uniform, with epaulets showing his rank. An impressive 8¾ inhes high and a full 5 inches in width at the base. Weight is 5 pounds. Lovely black/brown patina on the obverse with ancient rust spotting on the reverse and base. Obtained by an Americana collector from an old farm house estate in the Newtown, Bucks County, Pennsylvania area. Washington and his troops spent a short period of time in this part of Pennsylvania, passing up through to Valley Forge, and was well remembered and revered by the local inhabitants. This exceedingly rare Washington piece is sure to elicit strong bids from serious Revolutionary War collectors.

Original marbled boards, calfskin spine; frontispiece portrait of Washington. Partly-printed certification page, after title page, engrossed in brown ink, admitting Elijah Bottwood to the Benevolent Society of the County of Hampshire, town of Northampton. The volume reprints Washington's September 17, 1796 farewell address. Light toning throughout; leather and marbled binding is tight, with some wear to edges. A fine example.
