Lot 981
Fr-2201-D. 1934 $500 Federal Reserve Note. A very scarce note with a miniscule print run of only 39,000 notes. Even so, these can be had for only a small premium over their face value, a situation we expect will change in the near future as collectors realize how tough they really are to find. These are no longer available in circulation and we doubt if many notes were set aside by collectors because of the high denomination. Very Fine. Estimated Value $600 - 700

Lot 993
Fr-2231-B 1934, $10,000 Federal Reserve Note. From the Binion's Las Vegas hoard, this example offers a chance to own a piece of one of the largest cash hoards in American history. Most all of the Binion's examples were graded Uncirculated 63 or higher by CGA but a few did not grade at all because of problems. This note has had an interior tear repaired by an archivist. This person also closed a few pinholes, brightened the paper some, and lightly pressed the note. All of the notes from the hoard were adhered to a backing, and the discoloration of the adhesive's affects can be seen on the back, right and left of the center of the note.

Millions of people had their photographs taken in front of Binion's Horseshoe of $1,000,000.00. An impressive collectable not just from a currency collectors standpoint, but one of casino history, and a great piece of Americana that only 100 people can even own.

Serial Number: B00002651A

Lot non-returnable. Extremely Fine. Estimated Value $40,000 - 45,000
