Lot 1503
1827 Capped Bust Dime. MS-63. Prooflike on the obverse, satiny on the reverse. Toned in a rich blend of lilac and golden colors. Softly struck on some of the stars, but sharp everywhere else. A pretty coin with good eye appeal for the grade.
Estimated Value $1,500 - 1,800.

Lot 1504
1854 Liberty Seated Dime. Population of 4 with 3 higher, all by a point. PCGS graded Proof 64. Well struck and very choice with full definition within the stars as well as Liberty's hair. The entire surfaces are overlaid with medium violet and gray with some golden highlights. A delightful example of this extremely rare with arrows proof type coin. Only about a dozen or so proofs are known to exist in all states of preservation (PCGS # 4743) .
Estimated Value $14,000 - 16,000.

Lot 1505
1855 Liberty Seated Dime. Population of only 4, none higher. NGC graded Proof 65. An important two year type coin with the arrows added. A well struck gem with all detail sharply defined. The mirror surfaces are overlaid with deep golden sunset toning with electric blue iridescence near the borders. Only about 50 proofs were made with perhaps less than half that amount still extant in all grades. This lovely treasure ranks among the finest.
Estimated Value $20,000 - 24,000.

Lot 1506
1856-O Liberty Seated Dime. MS-64. Rated R-7 in Mint State by Greer. Shimmering luster and choice, original surfaces. Very lightly toned, but not enough to stop the glints of Prooflike brilliance from shining forth. Fully struck and, apparently, quite rare as such. This piece has the heavy reverse die crack below the U of UNITED mentioned by Greer. Sure to excite the specialists, as this may be the finest example of the variety.
Estimated Value $2,000 - 2,500.

Lot 1511
1877-CC Liberty Seated Dime. NGC graded MS-68. Population - 1, the finest that NGC has graded for this date. Wonderful, original, silver-gray, lilac, and sea-green colors blanket both sides, but not too heavily, allowing a good glimpse of the underlying surfaces. We've examined this coin very closely and we feel very comfortable calling it "Premium Quality" example. We doubt if there is another Carson City Mint Dime, of any date, that compares with the quality and eye appeal of this treasure. Don't be surprised to see runaway bidding for this impressive, king-of-the-hill coin.
Estimated Value $10,000 - 15,000.
